Skylar Otto is no stranger to hard work. In fact, she spends hours upon hours grooming her black angus heifer, Stella Della, every week. At this year’s Minnesota State Fair, her beloved heifer made Skylar and her parents work a little extra.
In the end, the stress paid off as Skylar and Stella Della earned Grand Champion and Champion status at the big show.
“It was good, it made me feel good,” Skylar said. “We put a lot of work into it. We wash her and rinse her, and then comb her and blow dry her, and we walk her every morning — it takes about three hours every morning.”
