Dennis Elroy Jensen, age 74, of Vadnais Heights, MN passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023.
Funeral services were November 21, 2023 at Kozlak-Radulovich Funeral Chapel, 13745 Reimer Dr N, Maple Grove, MN 55311. Interment at Bethel Cemetery, Garvin.
Dennis was born November 1, 1949 in Tracy, MN, to Clarence Olaf Peter and Iolean Cordelia (Peterson) Jensen.
Dennis was raised on the family farm in Sodus Township, MN. He graduated from Tracy High School in 1967 and Southwest Minnesota State University in 1971. Dennis proudly served 22 years in the Minnesota Army National Guard and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 3.
Dennis was employed for 39 years with the State of Minnesota, the Department of Public Welfare, Anoka Ramsey Community College, Department of Finance and the last 25 years as the Accounting Director with the Minnesota State Retirement System until his retirement in May, 2011.
He is survived by brothers Loren, Owen (Darlene) and Neil (Karen), nephews Eric and Wade, nieces Tara and Lisa and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Marcus Allen.
Dennis was an avid fan of all Minnesota sports teams and fishing. He especially enjoyed making more than 40 trips fishing in Canada with his dearest friends.
He was also a member of the Minnesota Society of CPAs.
