Jeff Carpenter is only a couple moths into his new job as city administrator of Tracy, but given the time of year he grabbed the reins of one of the most important jobs in the city, he has spent a good portion of his time in his new office looking ahead to 2024.
Being a strong advocate of expanding the housing offerings in Tracy, Carpenter definitely has that issue on his 2024 bucket list. But as it was with his predecessor, figuring out the future of a community center in town has always been in the back of his mind. And to that point, determining where exactly a new center will be located continues to be No. 1 on the community center to-do list.
