The Tracy City Council on Monday tackled a rather confusing new State mandate that concerns full-time and part-time City employees.
A new State mandate that went into effect Jan. 1, 2024, called Earned Sick & Safe Time will provide paid sick and safe leave for all employees in Minnesota, including seasonal and temporary workers. Employers will be required to provide at least one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.
The ESST law applies to all individuals or businesses with one or more employees.
