‘Body Shop Kurt’ was there for anyone

Friends mourn the sudden passing of one of  Tracy’s longtime auto body specialists

Kurt Enderson is being remembered by those who knew him as much more than a business owner and someone who could rebuild the body of just about any vehicle that cast a shadow in his auto body garage.

A number of his friends last week spoke about how the affable businessman and quiet supporter of the community would drop everything for someone in need.

Enderson died in his Tracy home on Monday, Feb. 5.

While he never desired to draw attention to himself, the popular and well-loved Enderson almost commanded respect from his peers in the most subtle way possible, simply by the way he treated others.

“I never saw him refuse to help somebody,” said Jimmy Marks, who along with Dave Bosacker shared the former Petersen-Baack building on the highway with Enderson.
