Mass of Christian Burial for Christopher “Chris” Graves, 38, of Tracy, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Cemetery in Fulda.
Christopher Joseph “Chris” Graves was born on January 6, 1986, in Sioux City, IA, to Brenda Sauer and Bruce Graves. He grew up and attended school in Fulda. Chris was baptized and received first communion at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda. After living in Fulda he moved to Slayton and most recently, was living in Tracy.
Chris loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed being with his daughters, his fiancée Cassie Baerg, and her children. He never missed the opportunity to go fishing with his Uncle Greg with hopes of getting the catch of a lifetime. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, working on cars, fixing anything that needed repair, and was always willing to help others.
Chris died unexpectedly on Monday, February 26, 2024, at his residence in Tracy. He is survived by his daughters Madison Martin of Marshall, Carlie Graves of Adrian; parents Brenda (Michael) Sauer of Tracy, Bruce (Ling) Graves of Florida; brothers Jason (Amanda) Graves of Palm Coast, FL, Joshua Sauer (Kallie Schelin) of Green Isle, MN; grandparents Kathy and Ed Paugh of Slayton, Linda Crowe of Long Prairie, MN, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James Crowe, Charlie and Mary Sauer and Dan and Mary Graves.
