John Calvin Remsberg lost his battle with Parkinson’s Disease on May 9, 2022 at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. John resided in Minneapolis at the time of his passing, but his home for many years was Ann Arbor, Michigan. John was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on September 28, 1941, and grew up in Tracy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Remsberg and Jessie Lee Remsberg Hodell, his son, Dimitri Remsberg, and his brother, Robert Remsberg. He is survived by his wife, Linda, sons, Joshua, Nathan (Leigh), Damion, and Daniel (Kendra) Alpert, his sister, Jo (Paul) Livgard, nephew, Scott (Lynn), nieces Lara (Barry), Renee (Jim), and Kerry (Scott), and grandchildren, Laken, Xander, Sophie, Oliver, Gavin, Caden and Emery.
John was a lifetime student and educator. His sense of humor was unique and endearing, as was his sense of humor with his Tilly hat and khakis. He enjoyed traveling with family and friends, in early years to Camp Michigan and later to Marriott’s Ocean Pointe, as well as many trips abroad.
He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
